For the life of me, I can't figure out where this came from. My Tumblr page has been full of people exchanging little summaries of moments between John and Sherlock in cute and romantic moments, and I guess it caught up with me a bit. I was writing one myself, about Sherlock seeing John entering the chapel for their wedding and doing the eye-blinky thing, and for some reason it came out as actual fic.

This isn't my usual work for weeks and sweat bullets and run through three separate betas process - just a bit of fic that came out quite naturally, that I had no intention of writing but that I'm actually quite fond of. If it sounds like your kind of thing, do check it out.

I just read your lovely wedding fic - made a little weepy in a happy sort of way. I don't have a tumblr account, so commenting here.

And I love the feeling when a fic kind of writes itself, I write slowly and painfully but sometimes on very rare occasions it just flows...

I needed this in the worst way. This fic doesn't quite eel "real" somehow. I mean, I wrote it just by sitting down one morning and because I want to tweak it a bit before putting it up on AO3 or wherever not that many people have seen it. So I've been... wibbly. Thinking it was self-indulgent or something. It's also the first unambiguously romantic Johnlock fic I've written, so... yeah. Wibbly. Hearing another person enjoyed it, much less calling it "lovely," means an awful lot. So thanks!

Btw, are you the same Susan who wrote "Skip Code," by any case? Not that you need to be for me to look forward to hearing from you, but LJ's notification said you were and I quite liked that story, so I was wondering. :-)

That wedding scene felt very real to me. And it is certainly AO3 worthy. I'd rather read a short beautifully written scene like yours than 20,000 words of filler.

And yes, I wrote Skip Code. Your rec meant a lot to me, as I am still very new to Sherlock. I've written only one story in Sherlock since then- my first romantic Johnlock too - it took me weeks of course and even then, I wasn't sure I'd got it right.
