random fun for a Sunday afternoon

Today would have been Soren Kierkegaard 200th birthday, if he would have lived. In “honor” of the man, enjoy some of his philosophical thoughts mashed up with Kim Kardashian’s tweets: https://twitter.com/KimKierkegaard

And if that’s not weird enough for you, here’s quotes from Nietzsche’s writing paired up with random Family Circus cartoons: http://www.nietzschefamilycircus.com/

And here’s a duckling struggling not to fall asleep in accounting class. (*Why* a duckling is sitting in on an accounting class is I suppose another question)

What can I say, it’s Sunday – a day for weirdness and simple fun.

A grammatical quibble - re: "if he would have lived."

That's a very common, but incorrect, construction. "If he had lived" is correct. I'm too sleepy to deconstruct why, but there you have it.

That actually makes sense to me: you already have the "if" which implies uncertainty, so I suppose "would have" is redundant. I'll try to avoid the mistake in the future, though knowing me, it may take a few times being corrected before it finally sinks in.
